Kuhasalo monastery memorial

On Wednesday and Friday I visited four sheep pasture areas in Joensuu to check and repair the fences for the (eventual) arrival of the sheep. One of the pastures is situated by the Kuhasalo nature path/recreational area. This is a memorial for a 16th.-17th. century Orthodox monastery that is estimated to have been situated roughly in that area.

Very chilly day for June, barely above freezing.  Rainy, too.
