Wonderful...

... day with the church staff in the Czech Republik (just round the corner). We visited this very small church in Rumburg and learned about its history (being catholic long ago, then a cafe and a place for animals and then restored to a Lutheran church from a small Czech community...) When the Czech pastor started his work there in 2001 it was only one year until a big fire destroyed the church. The Czech and the German did an amazing job to make it such a beautiful place again with a very cosy tea room attached :) The pastors wife is a German and works also as a pastor in the nearby German village Oppach :) You almost don't regonise the borders between Germany and the Czech Republik anymore :) After the warm welcome in that church we climbed a hill and its watchtower and had a yummy Czech meal in a beer garden :) Now my son is home and it's going to be a cosy, sunny and long weekend :) Monday is a bank holiday here (Pentecost) Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)
