Rosehip colour

We stopped beside Lake Ruataniwha for a quick fish this afternoon. It was misty and cold. Fish we there we spotted a large salmon or trout, and there were splashes but no fish caught.

It was a damp cold and once back in the car and traveling the last half hour I noted pain in my right thumb and hand. It eased as they warmed up.

On arrival I found I'd scored the cottage a short walk from the main house and away from the noisy boys when I want some peace and quiet. Nice :-)

Today's gratitude: It's good to be away for a long weekend and in one of my favourite areas of NZ.
