Dunston Staiths

A busy day which ended with me collecting my freshly repaired car (& dropping off hired car) from a garage near Dunston Staiths. My car is like new again :)
I decided to look for the Staiths cafe that I'd been told about. What a great find! I sat on the terrace overlooking the Tyne with a lovely cup of coffee and waited for hubby to join me there at the end of his last working day before he officially starts in his new position.

Staiths: wooden platforms where waggonways from Durham collieries would tip their coal into waiting ships.
