While Mum and I were out having a coffee, we popped into the hardware store in Tiptree and I bought a surprisingly inexpensive 31-piece screwdriver set with interchangeable bits. Having the correct type of screwdriver for the job made light work of changing the door ring and handle on the tumble dryer. It was stormy and torrential outside, which in many ways spurred me on the finish the job. By the end of the afternoon I'd washed a full load of laundry and successfully dried it in the newly mended machine. Hurrah!

The acer tree across the patio is so beautiful, especially with all the drops of rainwater on its leaves.
