Raspberry Ripple

Raspberry Ripple should surely be the name of this rose but in fact it is "Ferdinand Pichard". It has done well this year, like all the roses.
The weather has been well nigh perfect today. Fleeting clouds and a gentle breeze stopped it being too hot. I got lots of jobs done in the garden, none very strenuous, but very pleasing. I was out there for most of the day. There is always plenty to do. Sadly I had to dead head lots of roses. They have been so brilliant, it is sad when they are finished.
