Miller's Footbridge

This footbridge crosses the River Derwent in Cockermouth. With water levels so low, it is hard to imagine that back in the terrible floods of 2009, part of this bridge collapsed. It was soon rebuilt and officially opened by Princess Anne in 2010. 

The name derives from Millers shoe factory which was once a major employer in the town.
