Kapow! aka Silly Me!

There is a new thing in Bellingham. It's called "Kapow" and I know very little about it. I think it is about creating pop up parks in the city. Helena and I came across one this morning attached to the Farmer's Market. One of the two people in this photo is me. Can you guess which one?

The day began when I met Helena at "Eat" for breakfast. We had a yummy meal, talked about Arvin and other topics, and had a lovely time. We were close to the Farmer's Market so after breakfast we headed there so I could buy bread from Raven Breads, my favorite vender there. I also got a replacement for my favorite mug that got broken the other day. I love the mugs that the guy in the market sells because they have wonderful glaze and they fit my hand perfectly.

We noticed goings on in the parking lot above the market and headed up. There we found "Kapow" and quickly got into the spirit of the thing. There were all kinds of young folks dressed in cool costumes. And there were kids playing and creating stuff. A young gal invited me to play a game with a nylon sock over my head and a ball hanging from it. The object was to knock stuff down. Turned out I was really good at it and beat their record for speed. And I was laughing the whole time. It was great just to  be silly. You can see more photos of our day on Chaikins of Bellingham.

After playing awhile, H and I headed off to complete a number of errands that were part of our planned day. Then we came home and rested awhile before heading out for Mexican food, one last errand and my taking H home.

When I got home I finished the day with a walk in the park. Lovely!
