Rescued!

Early this morning we heard a bird which flew against our bedroom window. When we came out we saw a damaged woodpecker, a male, on the ground. I fetched some water mixed with a little sugar and gave it to the bird. Little by little the bird drank the water. At the same time our cat Jesper came towards me and he just looked at the bird and kept me company without hurting the bird! In the background I heard another woodpecker screaming the whole time. After a while the damaged bird began to move and flew away and at the same time the screaming woodpecker flew away too to join the male woodpecker!!! It was so nice to see and hear they were together again!!
