Italian Chapel
On our way home and heading for our 2nd ferry crossing as we left Orkney we stopped in passing to have a look at the Italian Chapel near Scapa Flow.
Built by Italian prisoners of war during WW11as a chapel it was built from 2 Nissen huts and beautifully decorated by Chiocchetti and his fellow prisoners and is now a popular tourist spot on Orkney.
( Back blip as I had a 300 mile drive once we landed near John o Groats and arrived home quite late - torrential rain on the way !)
