UK bird

Spent much of today watching this pair of robins that must have been feeding fledglings somewhere nearby.  Thinking also of the people affected by last nights atrocities in London and feeling slightly sick that it has happened near to where James will be living, working and socialising next month for an internship over the summer.  I want to be brave and defiant but I'm not feeling it right now and want my loved ones close.

The robins used the hanging feeders as a vantage point to spot insects and worms but didn't eat any of what they contained.  As the European Robin is the UK's national bird I thought they made an appropriate blip for today.
