Sunday Outing!

Three of us and two dogs, Scratch and Ollie, had a trip to Schoolha' Nursery today.  J wanted plants for her new border, and we tagged along for a browse and a walk!  We both ended up buying some too, but nothing like as many as J!  It's a super place as most are home grown, outside and acclimatised to the Orkney weather!

The walk was up onto the Cottasgarth Bird Reserve where there were  more wild orchids and bog cotton than I have ever seen before.  Very wet underfoot, and we weren't suitably shod, but it was well worth it.  J, sensible woman that she is, had also brought gingerbread!

Called in to see H on the way home.  She had her hip replacement op in Aberdeen on Wednesday and got home by plane on Friday.  She is doing really well with her crutches, but unfortunately she'll be  doing no horse riding for a while!
