whistler
engraved windows by Laurence Whistler at the church of St Nicholas and St Magnus, Moreton.
the church was hit by a bomb in WW2. instead of replacing the stained glass the Frampton family commissioned Whistler to make these windows in commemoration of their son who died in the war: you can see a crashed plane in the left hand corner of this window.
...a detail of the harvest window, though Radish hanging off my wrist made photography a tad tricky.
& a tiny porch window.
Lawrence of Arabia's funeral was held in this church, and his body lies in the new churchyard.
