Mono Monday Theme: Blip names.....
.....Flying-leap.....aka, flying......
It was 4 July 1992, on a cold winter's morning when hubby wandered out to the garage and put together the first side of the fuselarge of our homebuilt plane and the first photo was taken, A was in the highchair.
The plane is a Canadian design first flown in 1961, it is a high-wing strut-braced monoplane with a fixed, tailwheel undercarriage. The pilot and passenger sit side-by-side in a fully enclosed cabin. We started out working together but as children came along it became more of hubby's project which was put on hold for many years but is now gaining momentum again. Some from the archives in extras.
Currently the engine is being worked on, a Ford V6 and the prop is being made. Hubby is working with cables from the wings and tail trying to bring them together in the cabin, so things are ticking along.
Leap - well let's just say, it was a leap to take on such a project, it was a leap into the world of photography of which I knew nothing about and a leap to join blip.
My journal is about our family, our plane, the garden, our surroundings and everyday life. We have a dream to fly and one day we will.....let's just say.....I prefer to be in the air than on the sea.
Thanks to DollyKgray for hosting this month's Mono Monday :)
More plane blips.....
Happy Monday everyone :)
