Munich West International Airport Terminal 1
Ryanair termed it "Munich West" when they started operations a few years ago but now call it "Memmingen/Munich Airport". It's Germany's highest lying commercial airport, has a very long runway (3km) and a hut as terminal. The terminal is in the background of the Blip. It came last in a recent safety report on German airports (because it has insufficient taxiways). Facilities include a self service air-fuel station with an ATM that takes Air BP cards!
We live about 5km from the end of the runway but don't hear or see much except if they are doing training flights. I waited some time today & nothing landed or took off hence "agricultural" slant. You only need to look at the terminal operating times (most days it closes at 8:00pm) to see how busy they are. I think the airport owners largest income is from parking. They make a substantial loss each year but this isn't the place to discuss the trend "Every Parish needs an airport". Maybe one day I can use it to travel to UK!
Otherwise spent an interesting day in Memmingen - beautiful autumnal sunshine. Will try later to Flickr a few snaps.
