Bus stop, wet day,
We woke up to rain and wind and an email cancelling our Puffin photography trip tomorrow. It's a shame but I wouldn't have wanted to be stuck on a boat all day in rough weather. It's the wind which is the problem not the rain.
We caught a bus to Craster down the coast, famous for its kippers, and walked the seven or so miles back along the coastal path with its beautiful views.
Dunstanburgh Castle, built in 1313, is close to Craster and we had a look round it, and saw the huge Kittiwake breeding colony on the cliffs there.
The photo was taken looking back at the Castle, from a little to the north. We got back to the motorhome just as the rain really started to hammer down.
