Fading away

This proud young mother is my mum and the chubby baby is me.
I lost my cheeks a long time ago and she's forgotten her memories.
Today she would neither recognize her grown-up baby nor her beautiful self on this portrait.
Alzheimer is a monstrosity and I lack words.
