Full steam ahead

Today's walk was from Grantown on Spey to Boat of Garten, quite a nostalgic trip as it passed through Nethybridge where I lived for a couple of years in my twenties. I lived in a house so tiny that you literally couldn't have swung a cat without doing it serious damage. I noticed that house has been demolished and replaced with something a bit larger.
This is the steam train on the Speyside line which runs from Aviemore to Broomhill. I think it is run by volunteers and it's always nice to see the trains passing. As I was walking along on the next stage of the journey the train passed me and everyone waved - I felt like Bobbie from the Railway Children!
