Homer

Thrift store find today: two Homer Laughlin stackable mugs and one Syracuse China mug.  All three very well suited to drinking coffee because they are thick and heavy, providing superior heat retention.  It's the little things that tend to bring me the greatest joy.

Interesting note, the Homer Laughlin Pottery Company was started by brothers Shakespeare and Homer Laughlin in 1871, which was the same year that the Onondaga Pottery Company began producing Syracuse China, not far from where I grew up in upstate New York.
