A stray

Horrid rainy afternoon and evening so I'm glad I caught this this morning.
I'm not quite sure how this iris got into the front rose bed but when it came up I decided to leave it to see how it turned out. I'm glad I did, it is different to any others I have in the garden. I think it must have been moved with a load of soil when we were clearing the back last year and been jolted into action in the process.
I do like garden surprises.
