Requiem for my homeplace
This was Grandmother's house. As a child my mother and I lived with Granny Rachel. Some of my very best family memories are form this modest brick house. My room was upstairs in the converted attic. Spent many long nocturnal hours out on the porch roof with my reflector telescope conquering faraway planets and galaxies...I was 'boldly going where no man has gone before' back before James T. Kirk uttered those words. This burned out home makes me weep.
