Messin' About on the River

Not sure if these trees are clawing their way out of the river or into the water, but they certainly had big feet!

Today's my sis-in-law's birthday, and the four of us + their two mutts hired a motor boat and the chaps piloted us up the river from Dartmouth to Dittisham (pronounced Ditsum) where, moored to a buoy, we enjoyed a super picnic, before trundling back down the Dart.

Very blowy, but blue skies, puffy white clouds and mostly sunshine made for a great time. The dogs were as good as gold. We're now tired out and very full. Considering Mr PP and his sister grew up down here, none of us can believe we've never done this before!
