Old Cataract Hotel, Aswan

Came down late this evening. This is the entrance foyer. I must admit I gushed a little. It's stunning.

An historic hotel with an amazing guest list including Agatha Christie.

My Nile view room in the new wing got upgraded to garden view in the Old Palace. I mentioned I was keen for Nile view so they said they'd try. I asked a few minutes later when it seemed to be taking a while if I'd be the only person in the new wing. Yes, I was advised. But we can give you a Nile View in the Old Palace instead. And it's beautiful!
