What's In A Name?

On the surface, the genesis of my blip name is obvious.  "laurie" must certainly be my real name.

Surprise!  My real name is Lashirah. It means very intelligent. I am not from Arizona, USA, but actually the UAE. That's why you see so many palm trees in my blips.  I Photoshop pictures of hummingbirds and others from the internet into my photographs in order to fool you, the masses. My evil experiment has succeeded!  I bet you thought when you saw this blip that it was a photo of my father and me at the age of one.  Wrong again!  It is some dude from a long time ago with a round-headed child with a curl of hair (maybe that's why she identifies with Charlie Brown).

April Fools!  Really, it's already June?  That kind of explains the extra. 

Okay, so my birth name is Laura and I was born in 1954.  To my family and closest friends I have always been Laurie.  I really don't like Laura.  It's a little too "pretty" for me.  I was always a tomboy, loving athletics, making mud pies and building forts.  Mom always tried putting bows in my hair and dressing me in pink.  I rebelled.  I have always been, and always will be, a Laurie.

My first blip name was crinkster, but that's another story.
