Menorca

Up at 4 and in departures by 5.30. It would have been earlier but there was a traffic jam into the airport.

SW France and the Pyrenees were shrouded in cloud so no views of weel kent places. Did see the top end of Majorca as we flew over.

For a sunshine break it was a disappointing start, rain and wind. The square was full of bedraggled tourists in plastic rain covers. I had lunch, a rest, then a sunny evening walk around the headland to the old port for dinner. I will walk much here. The hotel is 1 km from the main town but there is a pool and a rocky 'beach'.

My room has a balcony but no sea view. The wifi is a bit stretched here too and I forgot to activate roaming from my new mobile provider. Thanks to Skype, done now. I think it was a holiday today, Pentecost. Even for a Monday it was eerily quiet.
