Home birth

I was in attendance for my first home birth since I moved to Ireland today.
Mum was perfectly in tune with her body and the labour process, she and her partner worked wonderfully together as a team and the 2 of us midwives were delighted with the gentle and safe birth of an exquisite little baby. I've had a big smile about me all day.
There is a sense of timeless serenity from a mum nursing her newborn. Dad is communicating modern style with the phone clamped to his hand!!
