Learning about the Dutch Golden Age in our class today. Saw some truly horrific paintings of the disemboweling of war casualties. Much was at stake: the real prize was the East Indies, now Indonesia.I shared my home made firelighters biscuits, aka Jawbreaker flapjacks, with a friend, and she asked me for the recipe, not a dentist. Phew!

Good to see some little faces at nursery that I had not seen for a while, what with half term and us being mostly part time.
