Soggy CHIP

Up and out to Glasgow this morning. Parked the car, took the tram then train through. I was in two minds about taking the large brolly. I was glad I did.

I was through for two meetings. The first was the Youth Justice Improvement Board which brings together the various players looking at the circumstances of those going through the system; how measures might be improved; and understanding better the levers available. Increasing evidence of the impact in childhood of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) are relevant for those of us working with vulnerable younger children.

Then it was the Children's Hearings Improvement Partnership (CHIP) where we were looking at plans to progress the better hearings works and getting policy updates on a number of issues.

Then a return journey back to the office and it was still raining. Indeed not just raining - chucking it down. As it was on the way home as evidenced by the greens on this local golf course.
