Bow drill

Having no internet has made us try other stuff like we used to do, we messed about with making a bowdrill this evening and nearly got fire . finally this evening our new modem/router turned up from virgin it all got plugged in and set up and worked for a while , its lights are on but we cannot connet to the wifi side of it. why does everything not work right ,I now have the old wifi router plugged into the new one and it all works fine now will try and sort out the new one later as I have lost the will to live now :)
