The Remote Part

After an awful day yesterday, we stayed eventually at Dingwall north of Inverness. this morning we drove over to Ullapool on a dry but grey day. After a quick look around there and picking up a CalMac ferry timetable to plan further adventures, we drove down to Poolewe near Inverewe gardens which we looked round this afternoon.
On the way down the coast, the sun appeared for a few hours and we saw some beautiful sandy beaches at Gruinard bay. We stopped at a lookout point to take photos across the sea and surrounding mountains.
