Early and Evening Light

The main blipfoto shows the light early this morning over the coastline and the blipfoto extra shows the evening light almost in the same location facing inland.

We left our apartment at 8am to travel 3 hours to Koutouloufari to collect our friends who are flying home this evening. After a chat with our greek friends in the village we had a drive to Kastelli for a walk around this nice moutain village, followed by a late afternoon meal at Episkopi village before dropping them at Heraklion aiport at 6pm; followed by our 2.5 hour return journey.

Just as we were driving up the cliff road to Alfrata the sun was setting near where I'd taken the photo in the morning. It's taken of the sunset over the old quarry which has a temple built on the rock edge.

The two photo's make nice contrasting ones taken from different directions at the same place at different times!
