Silent Poetry

Island Life

Today I was invited to go painting on the river. Until this visit, I wasn't aware of the islands in the Thames just up river from central London.

Ash Island is very small and has only pedestrian access. There are only 2 houses on the island and about 30 long boats and house boats moored on the riverside. Across the river is a very attractive terrace of houses with trees in front of them. This tree stood out because the tree was a glorious yellow and pale green colour.
