Feeding time

The oystercatchers on the shore have two chicks this year. They are already getting big and learning to feed from the ground rather than the beak. When the chick makes a grab for the food the adult drops it on the ground.

A sunnier day than expected so I should have been out butterfly surveying but instead I was in the office. Oh well lets hope for more sun next week
