AGG World Championship team Minetit in Särkänniemi
Aesthetic Group Gymnastics World Championships 2017 were held in Helsinki on May 26-28, 2017. Finnish team Minetit won the first place in the senior competition scoring 38.90 points, 0.05 more than the silver medalists, Russian team Expressia. OVO Team, also from Finland, got the bronze. My sister-in-law's niece Siiri is one of the talented Minetit girls! In the picture she is the fourth girl from the right, next from the Finland flag. Video of the winning performance can be seen from here.
In the junior category, Finland's Minetit Elite claimed the gold as the silver went to Finland's OVO Junior Team. Russian team Victoria had the bronze.
Both winning Minetit teams were celebrated today in Särkänniemi amusement park, where teams also performed their routines. I wanted to see Siiri's and other Minetit girls' live show, so I picked hubby up and we went to Särkänniemi in the afternoon. The sun shined and weather was exceptionally warm! Those AGG girls are super skilled and gorgeous, their performances were amazing. Singer Jonne Aaron was also seen on the stage.
