Eildon Hills

There was an evening orienteering event in Melrose today, so we decided to take advantage of the good weather and have a walk in the Eildon Hills first. It was definitely the first day of summer and a big shock after the cool and pleasant weather we’ve had this spring. We sweated our way up to the col between the 2 highest of the Eildon Hills, traversed to the lowest hill and then went up Mid Eildon, the highest, where the blip was taken.  It is the view south over the lowest and onwards towards England; the clear sky and the yellow rape fields make it look good.
