E-3 AWACS (Sentry)

Its that time of year again, perhaps the last time there will be an Airshow at Leuchars. Pesky and I will be going tomorrow, whilst #1 Son heads into Perth with his friends and Mrs P chills at home.

Hired a 100-400mm lens for this weekend, so had to go out for some shots after work today. Rather than stand on the hill watching the aircraft flying towards me I decided to walk round the side of the base for some better shots. Met two older guys who have been using the same spot for years on a Friday to watch the arrivals and practice displays. They had been there since 10am!

Got tons of shots in a very short space of time and am very impressed with the quality of the lens and the shots I got, but liked this one the best view large because of the angle and clouds.

Hopefully its dry tomorrow.

Busy night tonight. Visited Aunt in Hospital, Mrs P joined us after she finished her shift, then we headed across to Fife to see Uncle who was on fine form. Guess thats going to be a regular event for us for the next few months.
