Off up the A66 after dropping Charlotte off at the station again (London bound today for a practical horse exam tomorrow). My friend and I chilaxed at The Garage Spa at Barnard Castle with a relaxing massage, long soaks in various warm wooden tubs and a little bit of sunshine in the spa garden! This was followed by a delicious tea in the hotel. WE floated back to her house for a little prosecco!

Will has his first exam, he said it went well.
My father in law who is 87, failed  a memory/practical driving test today. Poor lad had been under scrutiny over the last few months regarding his failing abilities. I did feel sad for him, having his independence taken away etc. But ultimately no one should be driving if they are not safe to do so. We are lucky to have found a couple of local reliable taxi services and of course there is always Tom!
