Presently we'll have a pint or two together

So, when we arrived at the hotel, at 10.30 pm, we were told that our hotel had been double booked and there were no rooms for us. 

We were tired and emotional, so the Concierge offered us a refreshment, "tea or coffee",  "I'd rather have wine" I said. 

We sat and waited for 10 minutes, and eventually he came back; the bar man is about to sort you out.  I'm just away to find you another room.". 

I phoned a colleague in another hotel, and asked him to find us a room.    Just as he confirmed he had a room for us... the bar man arrived withe a BOTTLE of wine. 

Anyways, we got to new hotel, had a snack in the bar, and went to bed, and had a lousy nights sleep. 

Then breakfast, presentation and then a wander round town, and then back to the station for a really crappy run back up the road.

I hate business travel.  9 hours on a train for an hour presentation.
