Carpet of petals

The torrential rain has soaked the garden and brought all these petals off the rhododendrons creating a carpet of colour.


I was going to put the banner for Open Studios up in Bridge of Allan but there did not seem to be much point in this rain though it is designed to withstand some wet weather.
Hopefully tomorrow it will have eased off a bit.

Went for a swim, that seems to be the only sensible thing to do in this weather.

As for the election  I think we will all heave a sigh of relief when its over.

One suprise though was that our 93 year old friend and neighbour, a life-long SNP , supporter, voted for the Women's Equality Party. She says she is totally disillusioned with all the other parties.
