Rivers run

Every election, which seems too frequent at the moment, I hum these words all day.

"This weary earth, we walk upon,
Should endure when we are gone,
When kingdoms come, and kingdoms go,
Rivers run and rivers flow"

A busy day at work and yoga, a coughing toddler and the election have distracted from the fact I met my dear husband ten years ago today. Probably within the next few hours to be precise. Merry, and on a nightclub dancefloor, we met in the dark under the strobe lights, vaguely introduced by a mutual friend.  And there it all began. 4 houses, 1 wedding, lots of holidays, lots of jobs (mostly his!), a bit of camping, a few political 'discussions', and our beautiful little one.

We are escaping up north to celebrate, because these things are worth a celebration! The added bonus of no phone reception and limited WiFi may save us from this political madness!
