The road to nowhere

I didn't feel great this morning but as it was still windy I wanted to practice photographing the barley which is growing up on the ridge, so packed a few things together and set off.

I spotted this newly hatched and very shiny ladybird wandering around this little flower so set the camera to scene mode, macro, and then added the in-built digital tele-converter, and hey presto.  Who says I need a special macro lens?
