Sea of Flowers
I went into Manchester today to do a bit of shopping and just happened to walk into St. Ann's Square. When I was there over 2 weeks ago there was a sea of flowers for the victims of the bombings. I hadn't realised that it has now become an ocean - it is enormous. It is still all very moving.
According to the Manchester Evening News it is all going to be moved starting this evening - but petals will be preserved in memorial books, pot plants will be replanted across the city and message cards will be archived as an important part of the city’s social history.
