View to the Pentlands from Slateford Bridge

It is the most lovely day, and instead of taking my usual wander up to the canal I turned towards Slateford Road for a change.
Between Slateford and Gorgie there is a lot of scope for historical heritage type photography. So today I enjoyed looking up some information about the chimney on the right which was part of Mackenzie and Moncur's Foundry dating back to 1869. Of interest to me as a keen gardener is that one of the main things they manufactured was green houses, hothouse buildings and cold frames. They were also also involved in the manufacture of boilers/ heating engines, and general iron foundry.
Will be back here soon for some more photos.
