Lytes Cary Manor

This is a National Trust property and is described as 'an intimate manor house ... formerly the home of medieval herbalist Henry Lyte'. It is a charming house and there were excellent guides in each room and they gave an insight into the lives of the people who have lived there over the years. Unfortunately it absolutely poured with rain during our visit but as we stood in the main doorway it gave us time to take in the view of the wonderful topiary down the path. By the time we reached the campervan in the car park we were soaked !
