Crested pigeon

Very common right across Australia, except for the tropics in the north. There are only two Australian pigeon species that possess an erect crest - this one and the spinifex pigeon. I was pleased to catch these alert brown eyes, but in particular, the beautiful colours on the wing tips which I had not noticed before.
