Starting the joining up

The pattern for this blanket is called Faded Love. I'm enjoying the pattern but not so much the cotton I'm using. It's just not 'forgiving' and splits easily.

Today I decided to start building the thing out of the piles of squares I have in a bag! Turn out I've not done as much as I thought. I'm going to need a lot more squares - almost double what I've done.

The same off-white in the squares is the one that sews them all together and I've had to rip out the joining up lines to use the white in more squares.

Now isn't a good time to discover that this limited edition yarn isn't being stocked at my usual places! As the saying goes - eek!
