The whole world came out

Sometime in the early hours the rain finally stopped - after 48 hours.
Mum had a podiatry apt so went with her for that and then to the supermarket to do her main shopping and a bit of lunch.
She went home in a taxi and I walked back the long way via the lake, it was very busy, people, ducks and geese, though no-one seemed to be going out for a row.
Then it was bus to Penrith, (delayed) train to Edinburgh and missed my connection, train to Dundee and taxi home, a beautiful evening but it was annoying to be home so late.
