Tapestry

After a long lie after a full on day yesterday, a friend and I had a quick jaunt to Chichester & its Cathedral. I hadn't been inside for years - a very long time ago I once sung there as a chorister.

I was blown away by the beauty of this enormous tapestry that was part of the St Richard chapel in the Cathedral. The photo doesn't do it justice. I was in awe of all the different parts of it - from creation to the cross, the serpent representing struggle, the dove representing peace, the triangles representing the trinity...I could have stared at it for a long time. I'm amazed by anyone who has a gift to create physical art like paintings, drawing, sculptures etc as I have no ability in this area at all!
