Multi-spotted ladybird

I spotted (!!!) this on my potatoes this afternoon and I'm not sure what type it is.  I don't think it is an invading Harlequin as it was small, the size of our native ladybirds.  It had 20 spots on the red and a white head.  My insect book does not seem to have one like this.  Any ideas?

Edit:  Having now looked into this further on line I now fear that it is one of the invading Harlequins.
