From puddle to pond....

I have learnt a lot from my brother-in-law, Roger over the years about the need to create viable drainage systems in order to create pasture from virgin woodland. However, there has been one corner of his property where it has proved impossible to adequately drain the land as it is at the bottom of long slope and this area has always been very wet and boggy and marked by a small pool of water. Since our last visit Roger has decided to make a virtue of necessity and dug out a reasonable sized pond and bordered it with flowers to create a nice feature in his land.
